These Legal Terms ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Starly Live platform, including the mobile application and any associated web services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Starly Live ("we", "our", or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using the Starly Live app or website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.

2. Use of the Service

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Impersonate any person or entity, including any artist or Starly staff member.
  • Transmit any content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or other tools to interact with the Service without our prior written consent.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.

3. User Accounts

If you create an account on Starly Live, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at contact@starlylive.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Donations and Payments

Starly Live enables fans to make voluntary financial contributions ("Donations") to support featured artists and their projects. By making a Donation:

  • You confirm the payment is made voluntarily and is non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
  • All transactions are processed through a secure third-party payment provider (currently Stripe). We do not store your full card details.
  • Starly Live may retain a platform fee from each transaction. The applicable fee will be disclosed at the time of Donation.
  • We are not responsible for any additional charges your bank or card issuer may apply.

5. Live Streaming and Co-Hosting

The Service provides live streaming features including the ability to request co-host status during artist streams. You acknowledge that:

  • Any content you broadcast or transmit through the Service is your sole responsibility.
  • You grant Starly Live a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and distribute your live content within the platform for the duration of the stream.
  • We reserve the right to remove or restrict any stream that violates these Terms or applicable law without prior notice.
  • Artists retain the right to decline or end co-host requests at any time.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Starly Live platform — including logos, design, text, graphics, and software — is the property of Starly Live or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission. Artist content displayed on the platform belongs to the respective artists and is used with their authorisation.

7. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or link to third-party platforms and services (such as Stripe for payments or Firebase for analytics). These third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices. Your use of any third-party service is at your own risk.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Starly Live disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Starly Live and its directors, employees, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Starly Live and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, artists, or the platform. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Pakistan. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
